Peace Garden

The Peace Garden grows organic produce, which is donated to local food banks. The garden began in 2013 on an 1800 square foot area behind The House Next Door. Volunteers work under the direction of master gardener Nancy Nicosia. The garden is part of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society's Community Gardens program, which provides free seeds, seedlings, and organic gardening supplies. Volunteers come from Prince of Peace and the surrounding communities and, during the growing season (roughly mid-March through mid-October), usually work on Tuesday and Friday mornings from 10 to noon, weather permitting.
