Pastor Peter H. Froehlke

Reverend Peter H. Froehlke was called to Prince of Peace and began his ministry at Prince of Peace on July 1, 2013. A native of Wisconsin and a graduate of Augsburg University in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications, he received his Master of Divinity Degree from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Pastor Froehlke was previously Pastor of Zion Lutheran Church in Long Valley, NJ and Pastor of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Succasunna, NJ.

Pastor Froehlke is married to The Reverend Dale Selover Froehlke. They have two daughters, Sara Grace and Hannah Ruth, and reside in West Windsor.

Pastor Dale Selover

Pastor Dale Selover is Prince of Peace's Pastor of Spiritual Formation and Director of The House Next Door, a spiritual direction and retreat ministry.  

Pastor Selover received her training as a spiritual director through Oasis Ministries for Spiritual Development. For over twenty years Pastor Selover has led retreats for congregational women’s groups, councils, families, and Christian Education teams. She is also a retreat leader for Cross Roads Camp and Retreat Center, an ecumenical ministry of the New Jersey Synod and the Episcopal Diocese of Newark, New Jersey.

In addition to her spiritual direction and retreat ministry, Pastor Selover is on the teaching staff of Oasis Ministries for Spiritual Development and serves as the Pastor to the Pastors of the Monmouth Presbytery.

Pastor Selover previously served as the pastor of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Kendall Park, Zion Lutheran Church in Oldwick, and Abiding Peace Lutheran Church in Budd Lake.  She is a graduate of the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg and Gettysburg College. A native of New Jersey, Dale grew up in North Brunswick.  Emanuel Lutheran Church in New Brunswick is her home congregation.

Dale is married to the Reverend Peter Froehlke. They are the proud parents of two daughters: Sara Grace and Hannah Ruth.

Sherri Daniels, Parish Administrator

Sherri Daniels is the Parish Administrator at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. Sherri handles all office responsibilities, including assembling the weekly worship bulletin, the Tidings newsletter, greeting visitors, and additional tasks that present. Sherri also works with Prince of Peace team leaders to support their needs.

Sherri has recently retired from Rutgers Business School where she managed a globally recognized master’s program in finance. Prior to RBS, Sherri worked at Dow Jones Indexes as a manager of business development in institutional markets. But Sherri’s most significant and passionate work was with Emma's Law, a recently adopted law in New Jersey to expand newborn screening to include lysosomal storage disorders.

Sherri resides in Bordentown and has 4 children and 10 grandchildren. She is an avid reader and quilter.

R. Douglas Helvering, D.M.A., Minister of Music

Doug Helvering is an active composer and arranger of music, specializing in the choral genre. His compositions have been featured in many locations including the historic Carnegie Hall in New York. He has earned music composition degrees from the University of Kansas, Westminster Choir College of Rider University, and the University of Nebraska-Omaha.

Doug currently teaches at his alma mater, Westminster Choir College, as adjunct assistant professor in the music theory department. He has been actively involved in composing and music publication as well as writing articles and blogging for arts websites.

He is a founding member of Te Deum, a 16-voice professional ensemble in Kansas City and Canticum Novum in Omaha. He has performed with the Westminster Choir (notably singing in the college's 75th anniversary concert with the NY Philharmonic) as well as the Westminster Symphonic Choir.

Doug and his wife, Megan, currently reside in West Windsor, NJ.

Victoria Chow, Church Musician

Victoria Chow has both her Bachelors and Master's in Music (Piano Performance and Pedagogy). She is recently recognized as a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music in Piano through Music Teachers National Association.

Victoria is currently an Adjunct Professor of Piano at her alma mater, Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ.

Victoria has maintained a private piano studio for over 15 years. She is the 2017-2020 President and Festival Chairperson for Central New Jersey's Piano Teacher's Forum. Victoria's students are highly involved in competitions, festivals, auditions, and recitals. Her students have been invited to perform at Carnegie Hall and Kimmel Center in recognition of the highest state score for the Music Development Program, Rising Talents Music Fest, Crescendo Music Festival, NJMTA High Honors Recitals, NJMTA Honors Recitals and PTF Honors recitals. Victoria actively posts musical video content on her Facebook page.

Victoria is proud to have tenured at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in West Windsor, NJ as church musician from 2006-2016. She was briefly the Collaborative Artist at Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Princeton in Princeton, NJ. She is delighted to be back!
