Sunday worship services are at 9:30 AM
Worship at Prince of Peace is liturgical and based in the Lutheran tradition of Word and Sacrament. Holy Communion is celebrated at every Sunday service. Those who wish to receive Communion can either come to the front rail, or use a self-contained kit that is available just inside the front doors. The Sacrament of Holy Baptism is celebrated on special festivals and on times arranged through the church office. Bible readings are coordinated with worldwide churches through the Common Lectionary and are read by lay leaders. Youth and adults participate as communion assistants and acolytes.
Additional services are offered for Epiphany, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday. Midweek services are scheduled during Advent and Lent. Occasional healing services and outdoor services are also offered.
During spring through autumn we also feature an 8:30 AM Sunday worship service outside, weather permitting.
Every third Sunday of the month at 1:00 PM Prince of Peace hosts the “Joyful Noise” service, which is appropriate for children with Autism, PDD-NOS, ADHD, Down’s Syndrome, any other developmental/physical challenges, and families with young children.
