On the occasion of Pastor Peter Froehlke's retirement, concluding a career of over 40 years in the Lutheran Church, we give thanks for his time with us at Prince of Peace — thirteen years of faithful leadership, compassionate pastoral care, and a steadfast reminder that the church belongs not to any one person, but to God. Throughout his ministry, Pastor Peter has consistently pointed us beyond ourselves — to our neighbors, our community, and Christ's call to serve the world with love, humility, and hope.
Pastor Peter has encouraged us to embrace change with confidence, trust God's leading, and recognize that every season in the life of the church brings new opportunities for ministry. His confidence in the people of Prince of Peace has inspired us to look to the future with faith, knowing that God continues to guide and strengthen this congregation.
He often reminded us that the true measure of a congregation is not found in numbers alone, but in lives transformed through ministries of welcome, service, justice, and compassion. Whether through House Next Door, Joyful Noise, our RIC ministry, the Peace Garden, the Labyrinth, or countless acts of quiet kindness, Pastor Peter has helped shape a congregation that seeks to share Christ's love far beyond its walls.
As we celebrate Pastor Peter's ministry among us, we also embrace the challenge he leaves behind: to love one another, to care for our neighbors, to remain open to where God is leading next, and to continue building a community where all are welcomed, valued, and invited to grow in faith. We wish Pastor Peter every blessing in retirement and give thanks for the enduring legacy he leaves at Prince of Peace.
