A new concert experience, World Premiere of Reflection Concert, Anno: 1, will be presented by John Franek on September 22, 6-8pm at Prince of Peace.
Rhythms of the Sphere, work for piano & electronics, is broken into two chapters: Anno and Floruit. Each piece is centered around a different cycle which human beings experience on a day-to-day basis. Anno details the changing seasons through the orbit of the Earth around the Sun while Floruit is concerned with the Circadian Rhythm of human beings.
The first two-hour portion of Anno, simply entitled Anno I, will be presented on September 22nd, this year’s Autumnal Equinox. The timing of the concert, 6:00 - 8:00 pm, is choreographed with the setting of the sun. The concert will be free to the public, but a freewill offering will be made available to benefit The House Next Door.
